🏗️ Roof Slab Waterproofing Project Using a Polyurea System.

Another project successfully completed by the Merco team, featuring approximately 1,230 m² of polyurea application, ensuring long-lasting waterproofing and protection for the structure.

The quality of a polyurea system is directly related to proper surface preparation and strict execution control. For this reason, every stage of the process was carefully planned and executed.

The project included:

✔ Substrate cleaning and preparation

✔ Creation of a surface profile for proper adhesion

✔ Installation of anchor grooves for membrane bonding

✔ Rounding of sharp corners to reduce stress concentrations and ensure uniform thickness

✔ Drain cutouts and detailing

✔ Repair of minor surface depressions and reduction of porosity using an epoxy mortar system

✔ Primer application

✔ Application of a 2.0 mm thick polyurea membrane

The result is a seamless, monolithic membrane with outstanding weather resistance and durability, providing effective protection against water infiltration and extending the service life of the structure.
